Hooray! I’ve officially completed Camp NaNoWriMo!
Whilst I’ve taken part in the November NaNoWriMo a couple of times now (and won once!) I’d never done Camp NaNoWriMo until this year, and hadn’t really known what was different about it compared to regular NaNo. As it turns out, Camp NaNoWriMo allows you to set your own target word count for the month, so I plumped for 25,000 words, as I didn’t want to do anything quite as intensive as NaNoWriMo (especially as I want to do that later on in the year…I don’t think I could do it twice in one year!).
I continued work on the fantasy novel (still nameless…why can’t I think of a good name?) that I seem to have been working on since forever, and thankfully now it’s nearly complete! I ended up writing a total of 26,032 words this April, which has taken the total word count of the book up to 109,505.
Hopefully if I keep up work on it, I can have it finished very soon, as I think it’s probably going to end up being around 120,000 words long. I know it would be a huge boost to my writing confidence to have finally finished a full length manuscript!
So who else has been doing Camp NaNoWriMo this month? How has it gone for you? How has everyone’s writing been going in general?
