Mini Reviews: ‘The Rest of the Story’ and ‘Starry Eyes’

So recently I’ve been trying to read more contemporary books, and I’ve been loving my choices so far! I decided to start out with Sarah Dessen’s newest book, The Rest of the Story, and Starry Eyes by Jenn Bennett, which I’d heard great things about. Thankfully neither of them disappointed me, and it’s definitely made me want to read even more contemporary. Check out my reviews below! Mini Reviews: ‘The Lies of Locke Lamora’ and ‘Jade City’

Recently I read two very highly regarded fantasy books: the first book in Scott Lynch’s renowned Gentleman Bastard series, The Lies of Locke Lamora, and the multi-award winning Jade City by Fonda Lee. A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas ‘Stars flickered around us, sweet darkness sweeping in. As if we were the only souls in a galaxy.’ A Court of Frost and Starlight catches up with Feyre and her friends and family a few… Read more »

Mini Reviews: ‘The Wrath and the Dawn’ and ‘Three Dark Crowns’

As I said in a discussion post the other day, I seem to be getting really behind on my reviews, so its actually been a while since I read The Wrath and the Dawn and Three Dark Crowns. However, I enjoyed them so much though that I didn’t want to not review them, so I thought I’d do some quick, mini reviews as a lot of commenters suggested: ‘The Wrath and the Dawn’ by Renee Ahdieh “It’s a fitting punishment for a monster. to want something so much—to hold it in your arms — and know beyond a doubt you will never… Read more »
