I think that most bookworms have that one genre that they love above all others, that they have a long and beautiful history with, and that is their default fall back when they just want to read a good book… For me, that genre has always been fantasy. I think as bookworms we all have at least a couple of genres that we mostly stick in, and the big one for me is fantasy. There’s just something about kings and queens, and dragons, and magic, and sword-fights that I just can’t get enough of, and this has pretty much been the case since childhood when I became obsessed with The Lord of the Rings. What genres don’t you read?

On the whole, I’d say I’m a pretty varied reader: I’ll read anything from literary fiction and the classics to sci-fi, fantasy, historical and YA fiction. Yet there are a select few genres I rarely if ever, explore, whether that’s consciously or not, and I’d be really interested to know what genres other people don’t read and why!
