Welcome to my first Photos on Friday post!
This two-weekly feature is pretty much what it sounds like: I post photos on a Friday. Simple! I’m far from an expert photographer, but I’m hoping committing to posting my photos on here every other week will get me taking more and more photos and hopefully I’ll improve.
This week I’ve been photographing some of my books, including some that I have recently enjoyed and some that are in my TBR pile. Enjoy!
One of my all time favourite books is Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights, with its haunting setting and unconventional (and to be honest, not very nice) hero and heroine.
I recently read the fourth book in Sarah J. Maas’ incredible ‘Throne of Glass’ series, and despite a few controversial changes in character/couples, I absolutely loved it!
I have literally been meaning to read some Sherlock Holmes stories for years, so when I spotted this book for only £2 at a discount book shop recently, I just had to buy it!
After reading and loving H.G. Wells’ The Island of Doctor Moreau I really wanted to read some more books by him, so I picked up this cute Penguin copy of The Time Machine which I’m hoping to get to soon.
So this is pretty much what my days off work look like: books, cake and blog-reading on my phone! Caitlin Moran’s How To Build a Girl is yet another of those books that have been sitting in my ever-growing TBR pile since forever.
And here’s just a close up of that lemon cupcake, because it was delicious!
So have you read any of these books? And do you have any photography tips for me? There are so many talented book photographers out there in the blogosphere I’d love to hear some of your tricks!
