I was a runner-up in the Summer Writing Contest!

19/07/2019 Writing 11

So a while ago I mentioned in one of my Life Lately posts that I had entered the Summer Writing Contest 2019 that is jointly run by The Write Practice and Short Fiction Break. The theme of the competition was ‘One Room’, which made for a tough challenge, but I had so much fun writing my story!

And I just found out the other day that I was one of two runners-up, which is so exciting! My story The Darkness of Space is being featured on Short Fiction Break today, so if you’re interested you can check it out here.

I’d love to know what you think of it!

Congrats! I went over and read the story and really liked it. I felt for Karl and enjoyed reading about him and Lucy making that desperate connection. I hope he made it! I’m going to pretend he did. 🙂

    Great job!
