My (Belated) Fourth Blogoversary!

So this post is actually a couple of days late, but the 20th of July was Boats Against The Current’s fourth blogoversary! Hurrah!

Starting a blog and becoming a member of the wonderful online book community has been one of the best things I’ve done, and I’m so happy to still be doing this four years later. Yes, it can be a lot of hard work, but it’s so worth it to be a part of this community, and to have a place to share my thoughts about books, writing and whatever else is on my mind with loads of likeminded people.

Hopefully this blog has many more blogoversaries to come, and I’m just so grateful to all of you who follow it, and take the time to read and comment on my posts.

So thanks so much to all of you! Here’s to another year of blogging!

So how long have you been blogging? What’s your favourite thing about it?

Happy blogoversary! My fifth blogoversary is next month. My favorite part of blogging is the community. Nobody in my real life reads or understands why I like to read, so blogging gives me an outlet for my fangirling.

      Thanks! 🙂
Congrats on your upcoming fifth blogoversary! That’s amazing! The community is definitely the best bit for me too. I don’t know many fellow readers in real life either, so it’s nice to have somewhere to be able to talk about books.

Congrats !!! Wow four years ?

Ive been blogging on tumblr since july, so technically a year, but only started my wordpress in november – so not quite yet ? it has definately been worth it though! Even with the tiny panics along the way ahah

      Thanks!
And congrats on your first year of blogging! I would say you can probably count Tumblr! 🙂

Congrats on four years, and here’s to many many more! I do love blogging – even though it’s stressful sometimes – and the community is a HUGE part of that. My blogoversary is next month and it will be 11 years.

Happy blogoversary! I celebrated two years earlier this year. I love the community, and I love the sense of purpose it gives me. It’s a good hobby for me.

      Thanks! 🙂
And congrats on your two year blogoversary! I definitely like the sense of purpose blogging gives me as well 🙂

Better late than never! Happy belated blogoversary and hopefully it’s another of many. I’m in my 4th year of blogging (I think… I really should keep better track of these things) and my favourite part is definitely the people and the community. I’ve been a terrible blogger of late but I’ve found reading is less fun when I’m not talking about books on my blog as well, I want to talk with folks about what I’m reading even if no one else has read it.

    • Laura

      Thanks!
And congrats on four years of blogging! I’m exactly the same in that reading seems less fun now, if I can’t tell everyone about what I’ve been reading. The community is definitely the best part of blogging for me too 🙂

Aww, thanks so much! I love your blog too (obviously!), and I’m glad to be in the blogging community with you too 🙂

    Congrats on the 4th !
Well Done on sticking with it …
Wishing you continued success and a large library 😉

It’s 8 years for me but some interim time off because of a couple health issues and advocating for some justice issues that took all my attention.
And that’s it, you can do what you have to then come back to blogging and carryon!
I, for one, am grateful …

    Glad you’re Celebrating !

    • Laura

      Thanks so much! 🙂
Wow, 8 years of blogging is amazing! And I totally agree – sometimes you have to take some time off to do what you have to do, and blogging will always wait for you! Thanks for commenting 🙂
