Camp NaNoWriMo with a twist!

Camp NaNoWriMo

I seem to have turned into a bit of a NaNoWriMo addict…I already did Camp NaNoWriMo back in April, where I wrote 30,000 words of my novel, and now I’m all signed up to do it again! I just find it a really great way to motivate me to write more, and although it’s tough, I really enjoy doing it.

So I’m here again, but this time, I thought I’d mix it up a bit and do something different. Rather than working on a novel, I’m going to try and write 30,000 words worth of short stories! I’m not sure if this is going to be easier or tougher (I feel like it’ll probably be tougher, because I’m going to have to keep coming up with new ideas?), but it’ll be nice to do something a bit different this time round.

I’ll probably do an update around the middle of the month, if you’re interested in how I’m getting on!

So is anyone else doing Camp NaNoWriMo this July? What are you working on? Have you ever been a NaNoWriMo rebel and written something other than a novel?

Oh, that definitely sounds like a challenge! But you’ll be able to cover a lot of topics, so maybe it’ll keep things fresh and new, even in that dreaded second week. Good luck, Laura!

      Thanks! 🙂
I’m really hoping it’s going to help keep things fresh and keep me going. So far it’s been going OK!

Ooh good luck! I’ve never been good at writing short stories. LOL I do really want to start working on my novel again though, so maybe I should sign up!!

    Hey Laura,

I’ll participate in Camp NaNoWriMo this July, too. I’m writing a novella in the romantasy genre. A year ago or so, I also thought about writing short stories instead of a novel. But as I didn’t have enough ideas for that many short stories, I changed my mind and wrote another novel.

Good luck and I look forward to hear how you are getting on this Camp NaNoWriMo.

    Kind regards,
    Mimi

A romantasy novella sounds awesome! I hope Camp NaNoWriMo is going well for you so far! Best of luck with it! 🙂
